Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Expert with expertise in the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- AI-Driven Data Analytics & Decision Support
- Automation & Process Optimization
- Ethical AI & Compliance
- Capacity Building & Training
The ideal candidate will provide strategic AI insights, develop innovative AI-driven solutions, and ensure alignment with industry standards and ethical considerations. This is a hybrid model (remote or on-site), project-based role, with successful candidates being included in ProLeap Development Group’s permanent consulting talent pool for future assignments. The AI Expert will report to the senior leadership/client and collaborate closely with project teams to implement AI solutions and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and implement AI-driven frameworks to optimize business processes.
- Create AI roadmaps tailored to organizational needs and industry requirements.
- Design AI governance models ensuring ethical, transparent, and responsible AI usage.
- Align AI strategies with international standards and compliance regulations.
- Support organizations in integrating AI into digital transformation initiatives.
Machine Learning & Data Analytics
- Design and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics and automation.
- Utilize AI-driven data processing techniques to extract insights from large datasets.
- Develop algorithms for natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and deep learning applications.
- Improve decision-making through AI-powered forecasting and trend analysis.
- Optimize AI models for efficiency, scalability, and real-world applications.
AI-Powered Automation & Process Optimization
- Implement AI-driven automation tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Optimize business operations through AI-enabled robotic process automation (RPA).
- Enhance supply chain, HR, and customer service functions with AI-driven insights.
- Develop intelligent chatbots and virtual assistants to support service delivery.
- Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems for seamless automation.
Ethical AI, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure AI implementations comply with global data protection and ethical guidelines.
- Develop risk management frameworks to address AI biases and algorithmic fairness.
- Strengthen AI governance policies in line with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Implement transparent AI auditing and accountability mechanisms.
- Guide organizations in adopting responsible AI practices to mitigate risks.
AI for Humanitarian & Development Applications
- Develop AI-driven solutions for crisis response, disaster management, and humanitarian aid logistics.
- Support data-driven decision-making in humanitarian programming using AI analytics.
- Utilize AI for real-time monitoring of crisis situations and early warning systems.
- Improve access to healthcare, education, and public services through AI-driven initiatives.
- Foster collaboration with NGOs, governments, and private sectors to leverage AI for social impact.
Capacity Building & Training
- Provide AI training programs for professionals and organizations to enhance digital literacy.
- Develop AI toolkits and guidelines for seamless implementation in various sectors.
- Conduct workshops on AI applications, ethical considerations, and emerging trends.
- Mentor teams on AI model development, deployment, and optimization.
- Promote knowledge-sharing initiatives to build AI expertise within organizations.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in AI development, data analytics, automation, or AI-driven solutions.
- Proven expertise in AI model development, deep learning, and AI ethics and governance.
- Experience working in humanitarian, development, or donor-funded programs with AI applications is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AI compliance frameworks, including GDPR, AI Act, IEEE AI Ethics Guidelines, and responsible AI principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as TensorFlow Developer Certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer, Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or other recognized AI certifications are highly desirable.
